Get inspired by this snowy winter engagement session in Big Sky, Montana

When planning a winter photoshoot, you can’t expect to plan around fresh snow fall. If it snows, it will be a happy coincidence. As long as there is snow on the ground, it will still be a magical photoshoot. There are a lot of clever ways we throw snow in the air to give it that magical snowfall look in your photos. You need a photographer that understands the timing of it and the right angles to capture it.

There is something inexplicably magical about a snowy engagement session in the winter. A snowy backdrop can instantly elevate the beauty of many outdoor locations for a photoshoot.
I should add, that a snowy engagement session doesn’t mean you need to be cold the whole time either.
There are lot of clever ways to stay warm outside during a winter engagement session. My top advice is to wear an extra layer of clothing that is hidden underneath your chosen outfit for the photos. Get toe warmers and hand warmers. Bring a stylish coat that can be worn in the photos, or just a regular heavy coat that can be worn in between photos. And lastly, hold each other, jump around, spin – movement that keeps you close together as a couple and gets the heart pumping!
