Get inspired by these winter engagement photos in Vermont. Photographed by Chiha Studios.

If you’re planning your wedding, get inspired by these winter engagement photos that took place around Killington, Vermont.
If you love the magic of winter and snow, this one is for you.
We went to Vermont with this couple for their photoshoot because they were planning to get married around Killington, so they wanted to get their engagement photos in the same area.
As their photographers, we made sure to scout out a location ahead of time. It can be tricky to know where to go in Vermont for a snowy engagement session, so it’s important to do the research and know what types of locations to look for.

When planning your outfits for winter engagement photos you should think about:
- Do you want to be dressy or casual?
- Do you want to have more than 1 look?
- What will the temperature be?
- Will there be a wind chill?
- Where can you change clothes?
- Do you want to incorporate a theme or vibe?
- Do you want to include props?
This couple decided to do three different outfits for their snowy engagement session in Vermont. One dressy outfit where she wore a long red dress and he wore slacks with a simple black sweater. The second outfit was a fun, themed outfit – matching Carhartt overalls, plaid button downs, and beanies. The third, and final, outfit was a casual outfit. She wore jeans, white long sleeve, scarf, and a beanie. He wore jeans and a black sweater.

We started in town on some secluded roads that wouldn’t have much traffic and be pretty with the snow. Then we went over to the Summit Lodge Resort in Killington for the second half of the photoshoot. The property is great for taking winter engagement photos outside and also inside. It’s really quaint inside this lodge.
